RENDER Legal Consultancy (hereinafter RENDER, we, us or our) respects your privacy and takes reasonable measures to protect your privacy. Personal data includes any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This privacy statement below details how RENDER handles your personal data. Thus, RENDER complies with the obligation of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR") to inform the data subject about the personal data RENDER is processing.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

RENDER is the controller of the processing of all personal data. RENDER determines the purposes and means of the processing of the personal data.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DOES RENDER COLLECT?

Clients and other relations share personal data with RENDER. Personal data that RENDER is processing may include:

  • Contact details of clients such as your e-mail address, postal address and phone number, date of birth, place of birth, residence, copy of the identification paper of client or its representative. 
  • Personal data being used in the performance of the assignment, such as data of the client, counter party, employees or third-party advisors of client and others persons involved. 
  • RENDER uses the personal data that you provide for billing purposes, making payments and collecting claims.

RENDER collects the aformentioned personal data because you provided this data to RENDER, the data has been obtained under the performance of the assignment, the data has been disclosed by third-parties, including counter parties, or became known through public sources.

FOR WHAT PURPOSE DOES RENDER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

RENDER processes your personal data to provide you the requested legal services, to make an offer to provide legal services and to improve its services. RENDER may use personal data, for example, to contact you for feedback on its services. Your personal data will be recorded in the database (CMS) of RENDER.

LEGAL GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING  

It is necessary for RENDER to use your personal data:

  • To render legal services, conclude an agreement and perform the obligations under the agreement. 
  • For legal advice, legal support in legal proceedings, litigation and the refferal of proceedings.
  • On the basis of legitimate interests in order to provide the legal services in the best way that RENDER can.
  • To comply with any legal obligations imposed upon RENDER such as anti-laundering legislation.
  • For communication purposes.

WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA? 

RENDER shares your personal data with third parties contracted by RENDER, such as hosting providers and IT suppliers. RENDER will conclude a processor agreement with such third party that meets the requirements set out in the GDPR. The partners of RENDER and potential employees of RENDER will have access to your personal data stored in its database (CMS) for the purposes described in this privacy statement.

RENDER may be obliged to disclose personal data to government bodies, such as the police and judicial authorities, insofar as this is necessary to comply with statutory obligations.

Third parties to whom RENDER discloses your personal data are responsible themselves for compliance with privacy legislation. RENDER is neither responsible nor liable for the processing of your personal data by these third parties. Examples would be accountants, civil notary or other parties contracted by RENDER for a second opinion or an expert report.

HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL DATA SECURED?

Your personal data is dealt with in strict confidentiality. RENDER has taken appropriate technical and organisational security measures against its loss or unlawful processing. For this, RENDER uses several security technologies in accordance with the current standards for information security.

HOW LONG DOES RENDER STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

RENDER deletes the personal data after the retention period has expired based on the applicable rules of conduct and professional rules, or - if they do not exist - two years after finishing the case at the latest, unless RENDER is obliged to keep your personal data longer because of a legal regulation or if longer storage is really necessary for carrying out its activities.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT 

As data subject you have the right of access, rectification or correction and erasure of the personal data that relates to you. There may be circumstances in which RENDER is entitled to refuse your request to exercise your rights with regard to your personal data. If you want to use your rights, please send RENDER a request with a description of the relevant personal data. RENDER reserves the right to ask you further information, for example about your identity.
